Happy Birthday Shankar

Director Shankar celebrates his birthday today and turning a year older, he still sinks younger in the hearts of many. At the mere mention of his name we can relate to Opulence film making at its best. The only Director so far in the whole sub continent to give hits consecutively and do justice to it as well. His collabration with Sujatha, AR Rahman, and quite a handful of technicians shows the amount of faith he puts and how magnificiently they deliver at the big stage.


Starting off as an assistant director to Chandrasekar, he went on to give a string of hits right from Gentlemen to the latest Endhiran. Currently he is filming "AI" with Chiyyan Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead cast, again teaming up with AR Rahman. Known as the mega budget guy, though his movies drill a hole in the Producer's wallet, they reap rich harvests and never has a movie gone down the failure lane.
